Chapter 1 · 1.4
Which browsers and file formats work with Euro-Office?
Browsers
Euro-Office works in every modern browser. Preferably use the latest version of one of these browsers:
- Google Chrome or Chromium
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari on the Mac
An older or uncommon browser may cause problems, such as a document that keeps loading. If that happens, update your browser first. On your phone or tablet, use the Nextcloud app. You can read more about this in Euro-Office in the Nextcloud app on your phone or tablet.
File formats
Euro-Office opens and saves the familiar formats of Microsoft Office and OpenDocument. So you don't need to convert your files.
| Type | Open and edit | Download as |
|---|---|---|
| Text document | docx, odt, rtf, txt | docx, pdf, odt, rtf, txt, html, epub and more |
| Spreadsheet | xlsx, ods, csv | xlsx, pdf, ods, csv and more |
| Presentation | pptx, odp | pptx, pdf, odp and more |
| pdf (view, fill in, comment, edit) |
Euro-Office also opens older Office files (doc, xls and ppt). Afterwards, it's best to save your work as docx, xlsx or pptx.
Tip: working together with people who use Microsoft Office? Save your files as docx, xlsx and pptx. They'll be able to open them without any problems.
